In Belgaum,
Neeraj: I’m really worried about her, Nilima.
Nilima: About what?
Neeraj: You know it, still you gave her permission to continue her study in Jaipur.
Nilima: Toh kya? uske sapno ko sapne hi rakhna hai?! Jo kuchh bhi hua usmein kiski galti galti hai mujhe pata nahi pr mujhe itna pata hai ki meri beti ek insan hai aur uske kuchh sapne hai!! (So what? Should we just keep her dreams as dreams?! I don't know whose fault it is in all that happened, but I do know that my daughter is a human and she has dreams!!)
Neeraj: Uske sapne uski Jaan se bade nhi hai!! (Her dreams are more important to her than her life!!)
Nilima: Toh hum use kya keh kr rokte? Agar use sach bhi bata diya phir bhi use woh sab Andhashraddha lagti. Humein pagal samjhti woh. (So what can we tell her to stop her? Even if we told her the truth, she would still think it's all superstition. She would think we're mad.)
Neeraj looked at Nilima with a mixture of frustration and concern. He knew Nilima was right in her own way, but he couldn't shake off his deep apprehension about their daughter's safety.
Neeraj: I just wish we could protect her from all this.
Nilima: We have to trust her judgment, Neeraj. She's grown up now, and she has to make her own decisions.
Neeraj sighed heavily, feeling the weight of their parental responsibilities.
Neeraj: But what if something goes wrong?
Nilima: Then we'll deal with it together, like we always have.
Neeraj nodded reluctantly, knowing that Nilima was steadfast in her support for their daughter, no matter the circumstances. Deep down, though, he couldn't shake the feeling that they were hiding something crucial from her, something that could change everything.
Neeraj: I'm afraid that history must not repeat itself.
Nilima: How can you be so sure about it? It's not like she is going to end up in the palace. You're overthinking here.
Neeraj: You saw her when she was born, Chitra has that exact mole on her hand where she had.
Nilima: I saw, but it might be a coincidence.
Neeraj: What if it's not? *(with a concerned expression)
Nilima: She is dead!!! (Yelling at the top of her lungs). She died that day and it's just a coincidence.
Neeraj: NO, it's not! (Blowing his nose with anger) You are saying this just for comfort. You know what they did to her, I can't let this happen again.
Neeraj's voice trembled with emotion as memories of the past haunted him. Nilima, although trying to remain composed, felt the weight of Neeraj's fears pressing down on her.
Nilima: Neeraj, listen to me. We cannot let fear control our decisions. Chitra is not bound by the past.We have to trust that Chitra will make her own way, just as we did.
Neeraj paced the room, his mind racing with possibilities and fears. The silence that followed was heavy with unspoken worries and the lingering pain of their shared past.
Neeraj: I can't lose her, Nilima. Not like we lost...
Nilima: We won't. Chitra is strong. She will find her path, and we will be there to support her, no matter what.
Neeraj nodded slowly his resolve strengthened by Nilima's words. Deep down, however, the fear remained—a fear rooted in a past they couldn't change and a future they couldn't predict.
