6. Chitra

Yarr woh larka mujhe firse na mil jaye warna mein khudko control nhi kar paungi. Woh so raha hai usse pehle mein nikal leti hun.

(If I see that guy again, I won't be able to control myself. He's asleep; I better leave before he wakes up.)

Chitra grabs her bag and carefully tiptoes out of the train compartment, glancing nervously at the sleeping guy one last time before stepping onto the platform.

Beep Beep Beep -📲Astha Calling

Chitra: Helloooo!!!!!

Astha: Ha madam ji hum call karenge tb apko yad ayegi humari?

(Oh madam, you remember me only when I call?)

Chitra: Are nhi baba, you know na I love you so much, i was just thinking about you

(Oh no, you know I love you so much, I was just thinking about you.)

Astha: Kyun kiski lash dekh li tune? (Why, did you see a dead body?)

Chitra: Lash nhi pura Fentanyl(its a drug) ka producer dekh liya hai meine!!!

(Not a dead body, but I saw the producer of Fentanyl (it's a drug)!!)

Astha: Matlab?? (What do you mean?)

Chitra: Train mein ek banda mila, Amma kasam pura chalta firta nashe ka dibba dikh raha tha!!

(I met a guy on the train, I swear he looked like a walking, talking drug box!!)

Astha: Tune Teacher ki post k liye apply kiya hai behen ye yad rakh, kaisi batein kr rahi hai tu!!

(Remember, you've applied for a teaching position, sister. What kind of talk is this?)

Chitra: Agar tu usko dekhti na toh tujhe smjh ata (If you had seen him, you'd understand.)

Astha: Woh sab chhod, tu kitne baji pahunch gayi?? (Forget all that. What time did you arrive?)

Chitra: Are abhi abhi train se utri hun aur cab book krne hi wali thi k tera call aya. Vaise meine yahan ake achha hi kiya Bhagwan ne toh sanket bhi diya us ladke ko train mein bhijwake.

(I just got off the train and was about to book a cab when you called. It's good I came here; even God gave me a sign by sending that guy on the train.)

Astha: Haye meri Khayali Pulao ki Bawarchi, ghar jake yeh sb sochna abhi jaldi se cab book kr mujhe bhi kam hai.

(Oh, my daydreaming chef, think about all this after you get home. Book the cab quickly; I have work to do.)

Chitra: Jalna toh koi tujhse seekhe (No one can envy better than you.)

Astha: Bye ! ( Laughing)

Chitra: Love you!

Chitra smiles and still chuckling from the conversation.

Beep Beep beep 📲 Appa calling

Appa (Neeraj, Chitra's father): Kisse baat kar rahi thi itni der, apne maa baap ko ek bar inform nhi kar sakti tum? (Who were you talking to for so long? Can't you inform your parents even once?)

Chitra: Appa Chill!! I just got off the train and was looking for a ride. Apko call karne wali thi tab Astha ka call agaya. (Appa, chill!! I just got off the train and was about to call you when Astha's call came.)

Appa: No need to! There's a blue car waiting outside the station, the number is 8532. Han, woh Astha toh sagi hai na tumhari toh kuchh nhi hai.
(No need to! There's a blue car waiting outside the station, the number is 8532. Yes, Astha is your own sister, right? So, she takes precedence over us.)

Appa: (Are Neeraj, mujhe dijiye phone, mujhe bhi baat karni hai - Amma) (Give me the phone, Neeraj. I also want to talk - Amma)

Amma: Beta, pahunch gayi?? (Did you reach safely, dear?)

Chitra: Han Amma!(Yes, Amma!)

Amma: (Ghar jake bolna usse, abhi mujhe bolne do - Appa) (Tell her when she gets home, let me talk now - Appa)

Appa: Beta, the person who came to pick you up, he is our driver. He takes care of the whole house there, and his family is also there to accompany you. You don't have to worry about anything there; he will drop you off, coo.....

Amma: Offo, jane bhi do, abhi ghar jane do use, fir batana sab. (Oh, let it be. Let her get home first, then tell her everything.)

Chitra: Thank you, Amma (laughing). Appa, say it to yourself that you don't have to worry about me. Abhi mein ghar jau bhi ya nahi.
(Thank you, Amma (laughing). Appa, say it yourself that you don't have to worry about me. Should I even go home now or not?)

Appa: Ghar ja ke pakka call karna!!! (Authoritative tone) (Make sure to call once you get home!!!)

Chitra: Aye Aye Captain!

Chitra chuckles as she hangs up the phone and steps out of the station. She sees a blue car waiting, just as Appa had said. She walks towards it, her luggage in tow. The driver steps out and immediately recognizes her.

Vishwas Kaka: Are Chitu Rani, mein aapki hi raah dekh raha tha!! (Oh Chitu Rani, I was waiting for you!!)

Chitra: Vishwas Kaka?

Vishwas Kaka: Han beta, mein hi hun. Tumhare Appa ne bheja hai! (Yes, dear, it's me. Your Appa sent me!)

She bows to take the blessings from Vishwas Kaka.

Vishwas Kaka: Beta, Laxmi pair nahi chhuti kisike, paap lagega mujhe.(Dear, Goddess Laxmi doesn't touch anyone's feet, I will incur sin.)

Chuckling at his words, Chitra asks as they settle into the car.

Chitra: Vishwas Kaka, aapne mujhe kaise pehchana? (Vishwas Kaka, how did you recognize me?)

Vishwas Kaka: Apke Appa jab yahan kaam se aate hain, tab apki bahot batein karte hain aur photos bhi dikhate hain. Isiliye pehchanne mein der nahi lagi.
(Your Appa talks a lot about you and shows your photos whenever he comes here for work, so it didn't take long to recognize you.)

The drive from the station to her new home is filled with curiosity and anticipation. As the car turns the final corner, Chitra's eyes widen at the sight of the grand estate. This was not just any house; it was her father's pride and joy, a place she had heard so much about but never seen until now.

(Since her father's been visiting this place for decades that's why I have shown it a little old , I know its too old for someone's liking)

Soon we entered the house Chitra thought to herself, I'm going to scold Appa for not showing me this place, I came out of my thoughts when Vishwas Kaka called me.

Vishwas Kaka: Beta app fresh ho jao, mein apke liye khana laga deta hun.(Dear, freshen up. I'll prepare some food for you.)

Chitra: Jee Kaka!

I should visit Jaipur more often; this place is amazing. And this house... wait a minute, what if I marry a guy from here? Or should I settle here? Appa would never allow this. Anyway, I should freshen up. Don't worry, Vishwas Kaka already gave me the directions to the room, even if our author didn't mention it here. Lazy her.

We had small talk on the dinner table, well Kaka's wife and children are gone on vacation so its only me and him, his family will join us tomorrow.I called Appa also while coming towards my room we chatted for a bit. Then I came to my room while looking at the white curtains he came into my mind, who's he, well the guy who gave me hand on the train or more like he pulled me into his embrace/hug. Uff I cant forget those dole(biceps) of his, which were perfectly encircled around me. Dekha jo use yar dil mein baji sitar 😍. Chitra sitar nhi guitar hota hai, chhodo yar Author, hum thode purane khayalon k hai tum nhi smjhogi, jb ek tarfa pyar mein pad jaogi tb guitar nahi sitar bajti hai dil❤ mein. Haye😣, Bhagwan agar banda naseeb mein dalna nhi hota hai toh phir darshan bhi kyun karate ho. Vaise pehrave se to baharka lag raha tha, well maintained bhi tha, bs kr yar chitra kitna abhi uske bare mein soch k horny hogi, my inner self mocked me.Astha sahi keh rahi thi vaise sudharna chahiye khudko mujhe.

(Haye (Oh dear), Bhagwan (God), if you're not going to make him part of my fate, then why did you let me meet him? From his appearance, he seemed like he's from outside, well-maintained too. Stop it, Chitra, how much more are you going to think about him and get all worked up? My inner self mocked me. Astha was right; I need to change myself.)

Keep staring at those veiny hands cuties😉.
